Biography
". . . for the next several months
I would like to invite you along on a journey from my heart. . ."
I am introducing new drawings showing the joys and tribulations of child hood. Specifically the adventuresome side! The inital drawings are being featured on www.coloringbookfun.com and the ones that "Jump-out" at me - I will add further detail and create a Printable Color Version. During this time, I will be concentrating on the dreams and ambitions of all our children. And pray that you enjoy these paintings as much as I will enjoy painting them.
As a young teenager, my abilities as an artist had already started showing very encouraging signs. I have sold everything I have drawn starting around age 12. As a teenager I did commissions through a small printing company for business logos and a line of greeting cards in the small town of Red Oak TX.
Since then I have had the privilege of doing many enjoyable aspects in my art as well as commission work with one of the leading advertising firms in the US. I have prepared drawings of over 40 fireman who have died in the line of duty since 1896 for the city of Dallas, and have illustrated bibles being publish in the native tongue of the Bulgarian people.
I have recently relocated my family (wife and 4 boys) South of Houston to Richmond TX were I was hoping to get a fresh start - going back to my initial roots as a wild life artist.
Though my initial love was for wild life, mountain men, and Indians - my ability to draw people, especially children, has always been one of my greatest strengths. I have been doing 15 and 20-minute sketches of children and even my sons love them.
I love to illustrate children in such a way that the painting tells a story much like Norman Rockwell and Bob Byerly.
